Job description
Teaching
The teaching assistant will perform teaching and supervision tasks at the Louvain School of Management (LSM) with a specialization in the field of Ethics, Responsibility, and Sustainability (ERS), for Bachelor and Master courses.
Although the position will be based in the Marketing department, the teaching activities will be multidisciplinary.
Teaching and supervisory tasks may include the design of educational materials specific to practical exercises and tutorials, helping with the coordination of courses, assisting with the grading of group work and/or exams, and supervising group work.
Research
The teaching assistant will conduct research activities in the field of Ethics, Responsibility, and Sustainability (ERS) with the aim of completing a doctoral thesis in this area.
For his/her research activities, the teaching assistant will be affiliated with the Louvain Research Institute in Management & Organization (LouRIM), where he/she will have the opportunity to interact with other doctoral students in ERS or other management disciplines.

Candidates are invited to submit a doctoral research proposal with their application (Max. 2-page long, including a brief description of the topic of interest, potential research questions and the list of references used for building the proposal).
If contacts have been made with one or more potential thesis supervisors, this should be mentioned in the application.

Required qualifications and profile
- Master’s degree in Management/Business Engineering or in a relevant discipline (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Law, etc.), obtained with at least the equivalent to the Belgian honour of “distinction” (a final assessment equivalent to 14/20).
- Ability and motivation to integrate into a teaching and research team.
- Ability and motivation to develop teaching skills within the framework of university education.
- Excellent command of English. Proficiency in French and/or Dutch will be considered an asset.
- Communication skills.
- Sense of initiative and responsibility.
Miscellaneous
- *Renewable 2x on a full-time basis and renewable up to a maximum of 5x on a part-time basis, subject to a maximum of 6 years full-time equivalent.
- Some supervisory tasks may involve working outside regular hours, in the evening, and on Saturdays, as well as activities on other sites.
- Contribution to the dynamics of the faculty and the institute through various institutional and logistical tasks as agreed.
- Participation in meetings and events throughout the academic year.
